Testing the Reliability of HRHS

Abstract

|
The HRHS was developed to measure the three dimensions of hardiness that are challenge, commitment and control.
Hardiness is a personality characteristic which plays a mediating role to help an individual under stress.
The purpose of this study is to clarify the reliability of the HRHS of Korean adults patients who have chronic illness.
In this study, HRHS was analyzed by using Cronbach alpha internal consistency and item analysis. Alpha reliability coefficients were .69 for the total scale and ranged from .51 to .63 for each scale.
